Tasked with creating a brand identity for a UNESCO World Heritage site, Wadi Al-Hitan National Park, also known as Whale Valley, has a significant feature separating it from the rest of the world - whale bones. This desert in western Egypt is riddled with prehistoric remains of when whales walked on land, creating a unique educational and scenic tourist destination. Focusing on the harmony between the flowing sand and ocean waves embedded into the history of the desert, my brand identity combines a playful and bold aesthetic while paying homage to traditional Egyptian patterns and the fossilized aesthetic of the location.
